Editing Adverts for Belle Chasse

I was asked today to change this little advert around for the optical shop in Belle Chasse. The previous optician retired after 28 years. She was very insistent on picking strange new glasses for me for some reason.

The previous optician would have not liked the hat choice from the stock photo I chose. :)

BLIUE ANGELS HOMECOMING SHOW

Every year we have a large booth and smaller booths at the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show in Pensacola. I have been working on this for this year.22x28 posters, Large Flags that are some sort of razor shape, pop up banners and a large sized one to be located somewhere.

BREEZEWAY BANNERS

We have a large breezeway between our buildings, so in between holiday season I was asked to come up with something that works in there.

WE GO BANNER CRAZY

We have a lot of events here. So to help drive business and footsteps, I design a lot of banners. Luckily we've mostly gotten out of the vinyl banner business (plotting vinyl letters, applying it, etc...) We just re-use these banners with vinyl dates and times. I just remembered I have to do this for a Lego Event!

GETTING PEOPLE TO SIGNUP

Our company began a signup list through email...I know this seems old but we sometimes are a little slow with the trending curve. I was asked to come up with something to callout the sign in message. Luckily I remembered you can make QR code's in InDesign. I also mocked up a door sticker circle, however I never actually finished it, but I wanted to post it because I thought it would have looked cool.

Shoe Clinic Collateral

This was the original flyer for the Shoe Clinic's we do on the base. I admit I did it, and I never liked it, I thought it was not very interesting.

So I redid them. Our company had developed this "Better You" Program, so I incorporated that. Picked some stock photos and voila. My company/managers like over the top messaging, so I might not have went this crazy personally, however you do what is asked and secretly whine on the inside. :)

ENDCAPS

We have endcaps that we utilize in our stores. However, our headquarters doesn't supply us with enough variations to call out our merchandise, so I was tasked to come up with some images for it.

WAREHOUSE GRAPHICS

I had another opportunity to design another large format job. This was for a wall above an entrance to our warehouse in the same building. Found the quotes and everything! Took me about 2 days to pull this one off.

We never had proper maps of directions to each location of the NEX. So I did them.

LARGE FORMAT GRAPHIC

We went through a branding phase. WE had no branding whatsoever, and we hired a company to do the branding. Luckily, I got to select a bunch of the images that we used in our stores in the Mid-South. Even more luckily, I got to design one for the store here in Pensacola. This is a giant wall that's 25' wide and 8' tall. I used the history of Naval Aviation here. I researched and did a lot of designs for the 100 Year anniversary of Naval Aviation in 2011, so I incorporated all of that into this.

I'm working on some more giant canvas print stuff in Photoshop.These are actually 3 - 32"x88" panels that will be installed in that location.

THE OLD NAVY YARD

A few years ago, we did a restaurant/lunch cafeteria/eatery here, and I did some collateral for it. It's been renovated, so I thought it'd be cool to re-do the menu boards and some of the images. I had them printed directly onto substrate, and am...today going to mount them to the wall with some standoffs I had. Should be fun.
