Aisle Violators

These are aisle violators. Or they are aisle indicators. Either way they are about 3 feet long and are supposed to call out stuff on the aisle's. The original version was a kind of techno-new wave version. But I thought it would be cool to change them and make them a little more classical.

The Centennial Stuff is all cut up.

We just finished this yesterday. I eventually wanted to change the glossy frame liners out to some matte one's. The glossy one's look cheap and dirty.

Entry Signs

I just did these about a month ago. These were for the entry way signs. Originally they were some crappy vinyl, crap, which was crap. So I re-did with an aviation flair. These are 3'x8' framed out poster prints.

Roos Display

So we have this giant display fixture but never anything to put in it, so we did a Columbia thing for Memphis. Just a random picture with a little swirl and some color adjustment.

This was for the services area in New Orleans. In the background there are some old dead gators, because that picture in the background is 100 years old. I apologize if I have offended any gator lovers. I love you honey.

3'x6' Military Pride Signs

In the store in New Orleans there's this enormous wall that was blank. So we decided to fill it. This is what I came up with. 5 branch of service poster that are 3'x6'. I think everybody liked it, at least that what was told to me. The funny thing is I always thought the order that they went up in was Army, Navy, Air Force. Marines, Coast Guard. But that's not the order. I guess they go by how old the branch of service is or something like that. I just remember the recruiting commercials, so I went with that. I'm the TV generation you know.

Beauty Stuff

I did this in the beauty section where I did that horse picture. It's just some old ads pieced together.

Barber Shop Stuff

So the store in New Orleans....I thought it would be really cool to take some historic images, and do up some colorizing. I know that people hate when classic black and white images get colorized, but this isn't a movie. This is just a giant 4'x6' picture of a horse in the French Quarter from the 1900's. I had started this little colorizing thing in a job I did for Gulfport, and thought it would work here. Then I look at our intranet and see some other place in Europe is doing it too. I set the trends! Just kidding.

Centennial of Naval Aviation Event Graphics.

This is the giant 4'x8' timeline that I designed for the 100 anniversary of Naval Aviation. Originally I was just making this, and another version that I will eventually post for one store. But a boss of a boss showed it to some other boss and they decided that what I was working on would look great at the kickoff celebration here in Pensacola. After this, I'll post the other images.

Centennial of Naval Aviation

These are some of the images I did for the store for their sale of Centennial Of Naval Aviation merchandise. This is like a big deal for the Navy. They are huge! 2, 3'x5's, and one 3'x8'. I'll post more of the stuff I did for the centennial. It was a lot of fun and lots of research to get it right. At least 98% correct!

The Subway tile obsession....

I have a thing for subway tiles. I guess it's the NYC subway rider in me. The top one is a 3'x8' one we did in Gulfport, and the bottom one is one I'm working on for the store in New Orleans.

Barber Stuff I colorized.

This was part of that job I did with the 10 footer with the ancient bikini contest women. This is in the barber/beauty shop. I pulled the colors of the furniture and used that to color the chairs. I thought it was a nice touch.

The first thing I colorized.

This is about 10 feet long. It's in the window of a store in a retirement home. I think it's a picture from the 20'ss or teen's. I think you call it teen's. This took me about a a day to colorize it. My favorite is the one all the way on the right in green. Don't know why, but she is. HA!

Our stores like to send out greeting cards for Christmas. So I decided one year to make a crazy one.

Gas Station graphics

Alot of our buildings are really old. Cinder block old. This gas station is one of those old cinder block things. I ordered some serpentine frames (16"x60") and put these in them.

Fishing. It's a great hobby.

This one was fun. I actually drew the fish and colored in photoshop. It's for the fishing department. They wanted something tongue in cheek, or is it hook in mouth?

Snowy fun in a hot climate. It's a sign for toys. This was a 2'x6' sign.

This is an endcap, and a hanging sign. I drew the Frankenstein faces, then did some photoshop tricks. It's evil!

Happy Navy Birthday

These were some giant 5'x15' banners that we did for the anniversary of the Navy

Sunglasses.

So we had to come up with a giant sunglass fixture. The thing is enormous, mostly my co-worker put it together, out of aluminum, and more aluminum. We thought this whole thing up in about 10-15 minutes. Seriously. But then it took us months to build. So, we got this giant topper that's backlit. In total it's about 16 feet long, and a foot high, so since when it's an old Aviation hangar, I did a pilot theme. I hear sunglass sales have gone through the roof since we did it. Go retail profits!

Barber Shop Graphics

This is a 3'x3' printed on perforated 50/50 vinyl, whatever they call that stuff for a barber shop. I did this one because I wanted to do another retro kind of thing instead of a modern looking piece.

This is part of a whole project that we re-did. When I first did this thing, it was ugly. I had just gotten this job and they were like, bam, do this and you have like a day to do it. It turned out bad, so after a couple years, I got to re-do it. Yay!

This is an optical shop brochure that I did in InDesign. Except the InDesign crashed, and then I remake the whole thing in Illustrator. And then the InDesign never worked again. Sometimes I could kick this old computer in its face.
